Banana Bread
This actually is the best banana bread you will ever taste. I'm serious. Whichever minion of Martha's came up with it deserves a nice firm handshake and a cigar. Or something. Anyways, this is the moistest (moistest?) banana bread you will taste. It keeps really well, although I don't think you'll have to worry about that. ( Recipe and another pic ) See more at The Cast-Iron Darling! |

chocolate cherry brownies The tiny pieces of chopped dried cherry lended a subtle fruity tang to the velvety melt-in-your-mouth deep-flavoured brownies. Moist, chocolatey, and topped with the prettiest characteristic paper-thin crust, these smooth flourless-cake-like brownies may not be the signature fudgey chewy type that I love, but these dark brown squares are so packed full of flavour that it definitely deserve a place on your next party table, or in the Christmas giftbox you’re bringing over to your friend’s. Hop over to my foodblog for the recipe! |

Brunch at The Chimes
I have a friend in Chicago who I often visit, and who often visits me in South Louisiana. And we make a point of spending our time together eating lots of food. EDIT: in this case, she visited me. This is the tail end of the trip, I'll post the others another day. A mimosa and Bloody Mary Boudin balls ( Eggs Benedict gone right ) |

Din Tai Fung in Sydney
My favourite restaurant in Sydney - my family ate there every night for an entire week. My favourite part was watching the guy who cuts the dumpling dough and then weighs and measures them periodically to make sure they're all exactly the same. More at my food comic a wishful pantry. |

Gnocchi and crab in an uni sauce (Seattle) The vibrant yellow of the uni sauce was as pleasant to the eye as the taste was to my palate. My favourite dish of the night. Served with a white that was light and a great match to the gnocchi.
It was definitely worth a second visit to Elemental on foodpr0n.com
